    HI all,
    I tried to convert AVI to SVCD/XVCD using Premiere 6.0,AVI Synth, and TMPGenc. The video is fine, but the audio is not. When playing back the MPG (1/2) clip, very now and then ( from 2 to 8 minutes) I hear a hissing/poping sound as if the audio got choked. If you know thow to solve the problem, please let me know. TIA.

    If it is part of the original video, you may want to load it into Gold Wave and remove the pops and clicks that way. Select Effects-->Filter
    -->Pop/Click, then Ok.
