  1. What would I need to do this? I'd like to get my VCD's back and convert them to CVD (just for kicks mainly)...

  2. You can use CDRWin to extract a .BIN and a .CUE files from the disk.
    Then with VCDImager (and one of its GUI) extract the mpgs from the .BIN.
    These can be transformed in TMPGEnc to something else.
    I've done it and works well.
    You should find everything you need in the Tools section of this site.

    Or open the folder Mpegav on the disk. Then copy the containing file to your harddisk and convert it with Tmpg
