TMPGenc Help Please

I have downloaded a movie file from three different sources and each time I try to encode it it says that an error ocurred when audio was decoded. Surely this can't be on three files. Is there anything I can do to repair it?

It sounds like the file has a VBR audio stream(assuming that you are talking about an avi file). This is a fairly easy problem to fix:

1) download virtual dub (tools section to the left)

2) load the video file

3) click audio->full processing

4) click file->save wav

5) now, load TMPGEnc and select the wav file you just created as the audio source
