Is there a way to fit a 2 hour mpeg1 file into one VCD disc? I know alot
of different things need to be known to answer correctly..., but
generally can this be done? Most of the files I work with are avi, so I
run them through TmpegEnc..but this one is alreeady converted and ready to burn, but I would have to split it into 2 parts. The file is 699mb right now..any help is appreciated...

Unless you can come up with the magic 120minute CD-R, then no 120 mintes of standard VCD will not fit.

If your file is 699 then it's not standard and it will fit just fine on a 74 minute disk.

Not real sure what the question is now?? You can fit a movie between 780 and 800mb on a standard 700mb CDR in VCD format ...standard or not.
I have fit 144 minutes on one 700mb CDR as nonstandard VCD..as rule standard VCD will be 700mb for 70minutes.
If your talking overburning, its not neccesary for above..I don't over burn....And the amount of space you would gain from overburning depends on the burner (if it even supports it) and the type of media you are using.

Check the templates on the left for use with tmpgenc. Kwag is one user who has come up with some pretty innovative ideas. There could be others I just haven't checked them all. These will produce a 2 hour vcd which fits on 1 cd and can be played by many standalone DVD players.
There's not much to do but then I can't do much anyway.
