    is it possible to play back avi files aka divx on to a tv with this capture card

    I believe if you use the tv-out, anything can be viewed on the tele

    I have the AIW Radeon 7500. I have it set up so that anything on my computer shows up on the TV. So anything that plays in any media player lookes great on the TV (I just go to full screen mode).

    At this point I'm very happy with my card but It did take me quite a while to solve a conflict with ACPI. I was advised (by Sulik in this forum) to reinstall windows without ACPI. Worked like a charm. This doesn't apply to everyone but if you find that the card just won't make acceptable captures in mpg mode you may want to look for that thread.
