The Sony 500a specs say they support 4X DVD-R writing, what media do you think you have to buy?
Sony's site doesn't really say, although there are some references to "High-Speed media". Is this the same as DVD-R V2 for general purpose or is there some new media that hasn't hit the market yet? What's the difference between DVD-R V1 amd V2? When I look at web sites that sell DVD-R media, some of the media is listed as 2X, is this the same as V2? I can't find any media marked as 4X.
Thanks
Jon

[hehe, speaking to myself...]
Seems like after reading here that I understand that v2 refers to 4.7GB (where V1 was 3.9GB) and I understand that 2X is simply that...2X which is what most of the current DVD-R drives are capable of. It seems like there is missing 4X rated media though.
