  1. I hope this hasen't been covered before. I searched for info, but found none.

Whenever I change the duration of a track in the carbonized version of qtMutator and hit enter (ok), the app always crashes. I have not been able to find out who makes/ported this software so perhaps this will find its way.

    Thanks,

    L

  3. That's a good question. The info pane does not denote a version, neither does the about menu item within the app itself. Perhaps you can give me a link to the current version.

    Thanks,

I think that 1.1b is the latest version.

  5. No,

That version does the same thing. It's just a poorly written app. Changing the ofset works, but is sometimes not that accurate for long movies. I tried avoiding this by trying ffMpeg, but that program is a piece also.

ffmpegX is not, as you said, "a piece". It is currently in Beta and major is working hard on it. Don't knock it, 12 months ago there was nothing for MAC. ffmpegX will get there.

What are you trying to do, maybe I can help you.

There was stuff for the mac 12 months ago. Actually my guides were written for most of those programs. I wrote a guide explaining how to use QT Mutator, it's under the user-guides section, but if it is crashing I guess it won't be much help. Have you tried clicking the okay button instead of hitting enter?

I have the same problem. The work around is simple; just don't hit enter. Click OK with your mouse.

Wow this is old. I have pictures for it on my website, but here is the original guide I wrote. http://www.vcdhelp.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=87443

I got tired of not seeing any Mac guides so I started writing them for this website...I wonder how many people actually read them and used them......

  11. Sorry for calling ffMpeg a piece, it has some good intentions, just no documentation. Some of the stuff makes no sense without an explanation. QT Mutator works when clicking OK button. I can't believe I didn't think of that. Thanks for all the info.
