  1. I prefer on DivX but if needed I'll convert it to other codecs.
    Is there a way? And if so please tell me.

    You create your subtitles with a program called Sub Station Alpha. Save the file and load your video into Virtual Dub. Select Video-->Filter. Select Add--Subtitler. When subtitler opens, load your subtitles. Save your video into your favorite codec. Voilá!

    And then I can use that codec in TPMGEnc to create a VCD eh?
    Cos that frameserving won't work, whatever I try.

    You can use the codec in VDub. To use the subtitler in TMPGEnc, you need to get AviSynth to work in TMPGEnc.
