PROBLEMS USING NERO DVD(UDF/ISO)

Im having problems running DVD created using DVD (UDF/ISO) on Nero (i got version 5.5.9.9) it would run through my PC using PowerDVD automatically but it would not run on my setop DVD player (APEX 3201)..

I have created other DVD using (DVD Video) on Nero and it run perfectly on my setop player but since ive been getting the "Video files reallocation.." error i tried doing this method(DVD UDF/ISO) as what ive seen suggested on another thread and like i said it wont work on my setop and ran fine on my PC..

BTW ive never change any settings and been using Nero defaults its just it wouldnt run on my setop.. the movie that i wanna burn is Windtalkers
(d/l) and like i said the ones ive burn works fine on my PC so i dont think theres anything wrong with the movie itself and ive tried other movie burning using DVD (UDF/ISO) and it wouldnt run either but burning to normal DVD(Video) would work... I hope someone could help me on this... TIA

Exactly what files are you adding in nero? only .bup,.ifo and .vob are allowed.

Download Nero5.5.9.14 and look at the bug fix on UDF/ISO

thx for the reply guys... ive downloaded the latest Nero (5.5.9.14) and it lets u continue w/ the said error(DVD files reallocation...) but after everything is done it still wont work on my standalone but works on my Pc.. oh well i guess i have to live without the menus and everything just the movie files... i just wonder now what kind of Dvd player that plays those DVD's.. any suggestions?

That is a tough one, the only one I can think of is to burn it on a brand name DVD-R and see if it runs. I had problem playing some DVD-R burned on the pinco silver 1x on the Apex 600 but after I switched to the pinco white top 2x DVD-R then it can play on the Apex 600. So my only guess is the media itself causing the problem.

Well, I had the same type of error. I tried using UDF/ISO mode and VIDEO mode from Nero 5.5.9.9 and none would play on my standalone. All of the file structures I created played perfectly from ifoedit player and PowerDVD, and burned without error in Nero.
Eventually I just used imgtools to create an .img file and then used ISO Write mode from DVD Decrypter to burn. Works 100% on +R and +RW I have tried so far.

I've got the same problem. I've tried every program. None works on anything except my DVD Writer drive.

i got the princo DVD-RW and it works fine on my standalone when i rip and burn just the movie only so i dont think its part of the problem its just like i said the stuff that i wanted to burn got menus in it and it and encoded movie so everything fits in 1 DVD-R.. it just runs on my PC but not on my standalone..

When you try writing a dvd in nero with iso/udf instead of DVD video, make sure you turn off multisession. By default it['s turn on. That could be causing your problem. I've written about 50 dvd's, all with nero, about half using dvd video and the other half iso/udf and not counting a couple of defective disk, all have run fine on my Sony 300 disk changer. Also always make sure that the last thing you do before writing the dvd is fix the vts sectors.

yup i turned multisession off too.. i read it somewhere in one of the thread that u should uncheck "joliet..", uncheck all the option on "relaxing iso" those 3 at the bottom.. that works for me when i burn MOvie only stripped through IFOEDIT.. its just the ones with menu is the one that i wanted to get to work.. and it wont. thx for the help though..

i cant try anything right now coz im at work.. i really wanted to try the imgtools and burn using DVD decryter to burn [didnt know it got burning options too.. ] see wut happens..

I have the same exact problem. I can't find anthing doing Google search for imgtools. What is the name of the program and where do I get it?
