Hi,
I`ve just started to get to grips with adobe premiere 6 but have a few problems.
Source is V.dub Huffy captured interlaced PAL 640x480 from ATI Vivo card
Required dest. is DVD compliant interlaced 720x576
I`m using the CCE plugin in premiere
On close ups of a face, the detail is good but around the edges of the head the definition of the curve goes slightly "stepped" if you know what i mean ? Also when the persons hand sweeps across the face combing interlace type lines can be seen, this is post processing & viewed in win dvd or through to a tv !
I dont get this effect in tmpgenc, but want to use something a little faster to encode.
Any ideas ? - Thanks in advance

If you are seeing this post processing, I would try reversing the field order to see if that corrects the problem.

Well, then two more solutions:
Upgrade to Premiere 6.5 which has quite a good mpeg encoder included or frameserve to TMPGEnc.
After trying almost everything, I always come back to TMPGEnc and the frameserving works fine.
