  1. can someone please help me i have probs converting xvid avi files to svcd.
    when i convert divx files i use virtualdub 1.4.10 and tempgenc v2.58.44.152. extract the wav from the avi with virtualdub and use that wav with the avi file in tempgenc to make the svcd

    xvid seems to be a bitch! does not work the same way.
    i start virtual dub
    open video file
    audio-> full processing mode
    conversion-> 44100HZ + high quality
    audio compression -> no compression
    than file-> save wave

    than this message box tells me:
    the requested audio compression is not compatible with the input format. check that the sampling rate and channel count of the input match those of the requested format

    i don't get it. i have nimo codec pack installed and have no prob whatching the movie with powerdvd and windvd!! what is my mistake? which boxes do i have to activate when installing nimo? or where to i get a codec which works 100%. the codec pack is the newest just got it form nimos homepage....

    please someone takes the time to explain what to do! i have checked so many forums, everyone seems to have my prob and no answer solves the prob!

    thanx alot

  2. Sounds like the audio may be ac3 encoded. Try this:

  3. I get the same error with VBR-mp3 as sound. What i usually do is extract the audio with virtualdub (direct stream copy) and then convert it to wav with Winamp 2.x and feed the wav to TMPGenc.
