I captured PAL DV source from ulead dvd workshop and want to produce an NTSC dvd disc to take to the united states.
DVD WS split my 80 min video into 4 chunks due to fat32 restrictions and I initially tried to convert from PAL to NTSC DVD through ULEAD software.. the results were bad, chunks 1-2 of the video fine but 3-4 I had dodgy scanlines/interlacing problems in scenes of fast movement.
Okay I tried again to encode my DV PAL files to NTSC MPEG2 compliant using the NTSC DVD template in TMPGEnc.. the results much better, however again chunks 3-4 have problems... this time in areas where there would usually be interlaced scanlines I get a choppy framerate.. i.e when someone on screen makes a sudden movement.. I dont really want to live with this so what can I do to fix it? Anyone know what the problem is? I need to take this dvd to the states to seek a distributor for this film
