  1. Using VCD, I was able to burn a 797mb svcd, so it seems. TO test the success of the burn, I slid the slider near the end of the video and the video/sound was jerky and froze the screen. THe plabyback was fine up to the last perhaps 5-7 minutes. Is this because of not overburning? Not having enough drive space, memory? I am using WINDVD4 to playback.
I don't know if my player supports overburn...how doI determine if it does or not?

    Thx

  2. If you were using 80min CDs, you probably didn't need to overburn.

From what you described, it sounds like your CD/DVD-ROM drive doesn't like your particular brand of media and is reading it with difficulty at the outer extreme of the disc.

  3. I am using Verbatim datalife plus 32x 80min. I've also been able to burn cds more than 800 mb without overburn clicked on vcdeasy. THose are still abit jerky, but not as jerky as this one. Is there a mechanical/software way to check the integrity of a burn? If I open file going into the mpeg subdirectory of the vcd/svcd(file aveq....something) it plays perfectly fine, but the time elapsed is way off, by about 20 minutes.
Just annoying if it doesn't read the outer edges as you suggest.

  4. After rebooting and deleting a gig or 2 from my harddrive, I reburned and the cd played perfectly....must be I need to have maximum resources available to burn successfully.
