There is always one who is always greater. Never give up.

They are certainly cheap enough for a flat screen. like 250. I got a sony vega and it seems like the best flat screen to me. I mean it seems like it will last a long time. My apex dvd player hasn't gone out on me yet so you might have a chance with it.
If you want a nice flat screen go sony though -
yeah, i've seen those apex flat screens. they're pretty losh.. i'd make sure i bought a store warranty if i were you though..

I highly recommend the Samsung Dynaflat series of TV's. I have one and I love it. If your going to buy a new TV make sure it had the digital noisr reduction for the picture. It's standard on the Samsungs Dynaflat models and it makes my crappy cable signal look much better. I'm sure that the Apex and other cheapee flat screen models don't have features like this (my Samsung also has a ton of inputs). Plus I like the black plastic case much better then the silver case Sony and their imitators use.

For nonHDTVs Sony owns all. Have a 32" sony VVEGA in the living room... best picture ever. Of course the price on them sucks but what ya gonna do?

I will honestly admit the I have not messed with the new Samsung much... but Sony is still awsome. I'll have to check them out to see how good they look.
Lastly I dont really l think my icon has much to do with the discussion.
Oh yeah and I agree with Adam... it likely is a decent TV but in the end the features will balance out with each other. -

can you put up the big picture of the cat drinking beer again? -
I just bought one of these TVs at Walmart for $160. It looks great! The picture is very clear and crisp. And the audio is much improved with the built in equalizer. I'd say it is worth the money!!

I've heard that you should always buy Apex TVs from a place with a good return policy. Quality of construction varies from reasonably solid to so flakey the jacks will break off if you're not careful hooking it up. The early models were particularly bad.
