Can anyone recommend a low-cost solution for getting VHS data onto my hard drive?
I have a firewire card and ideally would like to hook my VCR into that for capture... does a converter device exist for that particular combo? I have looked at the Dazzle product that captures from the VCR straight to the HD via USB, but I'm afraid of dropping frames. Anyone with any experience with that product?
Also of note, my DV camera doesn't support S-Video 'in' (to record onto the DV and then to the HDD) only S-Video 'out'.
What would you all recommend?
Thanks in advance!!
