Can someone explain why cutting with TMPGenc should get more onto one cd.

uh, i didn't get that very well... I think you mean with WHY, HOW

Well, i generally use this trick, 35-40 Minits for SVCD and 59Minits for VCD

how?

start TMPG
FILE->MPEG TOOLS
MERGE & CUT
ADD YOUR FILE(mp(e)g)
doubleclick on it, this gives u a scroll bar, move to the minit you want it to split up, click on SET END FRAME

Press OK
RUN

Now, for snd part, you go to that exact frame, click on SET START frame, move X mins ahead and press END FRAME ->OK -> RUN

I did that but when it comes to burn there is nothing there.
