First of all, try following the guide already made located here:
http://www.vcdhelp.com/virtualdubframeserve.htm
Second of all, you might run into some problems frameserving from vdub-->tmpeg, depending on your OS and setup.
The problems and solutions to some of them are located in the forum at the bottom of that guide and also you could do a search in these forums.
I've ran into one problem but I've manage to fix it myself. But following that guide exactly will start you off in the right direction. -
I read the guides I could find as well as a lot of forum posts. I guess the question should have been more like....
Can I frameserve from V-Dub to TMPG "on the fly" can I make the signpost file as the name of my capture and run TMPG right along side encoding to mpeg as I go without actually making the avi. I think this is what I keep reading about but I'm not too clear on how it's done exactly.
Thanks man!!!! chris
