  1. Yo hi,

does anyone has an answer to my question. Here it goes: we are going to convert avi files on win2k, winxp and win98 stations. we use canopus and tmpgec to produce separate video and audio streams. but, if we are going to multipliex and split files with bbmpeg, we do always get the message "cannot find user-data in i-frame xyz" by scanning svcd offsetst.
And this will only happen on win2k and winxp stations. videos transcoded on win98 working fine and do not have any errors. Running SVCD Fix will fix the files and multiplexing/ splitting works, but we have flicker on the result.
More over, if we multiplex/ spit with TMPGEnc everything works fine and no flickers occrued.

Has winxp and win2k problems by transcoding ? does bbMpeg do work correct under winxp and win2k. has anyone made the same expierience?

I'm looking forward to your answer

  2. Yo,

it' s me again; it seems transcoding with any encoder is independent to the operating system. The problems are raised by bbMpeg. It is impossible to get error free results by using bbMpeg for multiplexing/ cutting under win2k or winxp; also the winxp fix for bbMpeg won't work correctly!
