  1. I've been using this site for months. I just registered becuase I COULD NOT find an answer to my question with the forum search. I have downloaded VCDImager 0.7.9 and I want to use the vcdxrip to get the mpeg out of a .nrg file I have. However.. my obviously small brain, and limited knowledge, can't figure out how to use the thing. What I need it step by step instructions on how to use vcdxrip. I know tons of people know how to use... I'm just not one of them. I would appreciate any help, and I'm glad I've joined the vcdhelp.com family (sort of).

When you enter the command console you'll probably be in C:\WINDOWS>
Use the "cd" command to change the directory.
C:\WINDOWS>cd C:\full path\VCDIMAGER (VCDIMAGER means here the directory where vcdxrip.exe is located)
    Now you see
    C:\full path\VCDIMAGER>
    Complete the line as following
    C:\full path\VCDIMAGER>vcdxrip --nrg-file=C:\full path\image.nrg

To view all options of vcdxrip type
    C:\full path\VCDIMAGER>vcdxrip --help

Edit: I forgot to mention, that VCDGearGUI converts Nero images to MPEG as well.
    Hope this helps.

  3. Truman, thanks for the help. I tried to use the command console with vcdxrip, but I couldn't get it to work for me. But at least I have a better understanding of how to use it The vcdgreargui works great. By the way, the "(sort of)" in my original post was saying that this is sort of a family.. not I'm sort of glad to join. Anyway, thanks again for the help, and someday I'll master this whole command prompt/gui-less software use.
