    Damn, actual TV programs will drop a different number of frames? I've been recording at 720X480 with Picvideo @16 & 17 and dropped minimal frames all day. WWE Raw came on and I started getting more and more drops. I had to change to 640X480 Picvideo @18. Now getting no drops. Is this just the nature of the beast?

    Are the previous captures still on your hard drive? If so your hard drive is probably fragmented and that is why you are dropping frames. Try defragmenting.

    No, the files are gone and I have 70G out of my 80G hard drive to record on. The drive is only a month old but I never did defrag it yet. I'll try that....
