  1. hey guys i got a hp 9300 cd writer, and for some reason it wont let me burn onto cdrW's. i tried nero, vcdeasy, and cdrwin, but no luck. i downloaded aspi drivers from the vcdhelp tools section, but again no luck. do any of u have an idea of why this is happening? thanks

  3. Having same problem with my Pioner. I guess (don't know exactly), it is conflict between High-speed drive and Low-speed media (last RW I bought ~2 years ago). Would be thankful if somebody explains.

    ever try erasing the disc before trying to write to it ?
    I've bought a sealed cd-rw disc that can't be written until I erase it

  5. Are the Specs on the HP9300 - 10X/4X/32X? If so, this drive only supports LS CDRW not HS. You will need to use LS(1X to 4X). This is the same for the Pioneer 103. The Pioneer 104 supports HS CDRW but only at 4X. Also, the 103 and 104 are really picky about CDRW media. I have had no luck with Memorex CDRW media(HS or LS). If you get it to work you can only erase it two or three times before it craps out.

  6. check for a firmware upgrade this usually adds **MORE**compatibilty with other brands of writable media to your drive.
