I've just upgraded to a AMD 1800 XP / 256M RAM (not DDR) system with XP. I'm using the Audigy and Nvidia GeForce 3 cards I had in the previous system. The problem is that when I go into the TV application for the first time it maxes out the CPU, everything crawls to a stop and if I finally get to the finish, the sound doesn't work. I've tried everything I can think of software-wise, uninstalled, removed registry entries, etc.
The thing is that I didn't have problems like that with my 900 Duron system and most of the parts are the same.
I'm wondering how to get the sound to work, but also why the system is getting maxed out. I plan on moving the cards around but I was wondering if there's anything else I'm not thinking of.

No problem with my TV Wonder and XP.
I open TV application and many other programs at the same time and nothing slows down. -
Try d/l the latest drivers for your motherboard. Also in MMC run initilization wizard and reset inputs.
