  1. Just wondering why i keep making these coasters after trying to create a DVD from my home movies. I just got the pioneer dvd burner and have tried both dvd-r and dvd-rw and when I put it in my DVD player(Sanyo DSW 370) i keep getting "no play". After reading on this board it seems that some people have had luck with this SANYO DVD PLAYER. I am using the sonic software to burn and i've even tried the "dvd complete software". I just downloaded the newer firmware which i don't know if that will make a difference. Thanks for your help ..any help would be appreciated ..frustrated newbie!

  2. I don't believe the problem is really just your dvd player. I have found that certain dvd players and dvd authoring programs don't like each other too much. I have an apex 1100 dvd player. When I author discs using any sonic products the disc will not play in my player but when I use other dvd software such as Spruceup, DvdMaestro, or DWS the discs play fine. I would try Spuceup(great if you don't want to have subs) or DvdMaestro(great for advanced options). I would stay way from DWS it likes the rencode the video for you( atleast the version I tried). I always author to title set and burn with nero.
