    I was capturing something on cable tv with my digital8 camera and the tape seemed to end after 46 minutes in SP mode (hi8 tape)

    For some reason it started to show a tape symbol with a few minutes left? I guess that meant the tape was ending, but the question is why at 46 minutes and not 60 minues like it is supposed to?

    Anyone know why this happened? Thanks.
