  1. Is there anyway arouind this? I am trying to capture pics from an NBA hi-fi video on my Digital8 camera (through RCA) and it keeps saying COPY INHIBIT.

Is there anyway I can get around this? Someone said Hi8 tapes are the solution, but I tried them and I get the same error.

Is there anyway around this, so I can capture pics and archive this NBA video?

    Any help would be great
    thanks

If I understand your question you're trying to copy(capture) a VHS tape to a camcorder. There are "black boxes" available that when inserted between the player and recorder will eliminate the macrovision encodeing.
The other poster is correct Hi8 vcr's will automatically eliminate macrovision.

Macrovision is not your immediate problem. DVD's sold in the U.S. also have a digital copy protection system(CGMS) which cannot be defeated by conventional macrovision elimininator's.
