How can I record the audio soundtracks, songs, music directly from regular VHS video tape recorder into my notebook computer so I can get clear audio quality without any background noises?
Is there any software or any plug-in accessories that can help me in recording the audio soundtracks, songs, music directly from the regular VHS tape recorder into my notebook computer in mp3 or wav format?

HI,
I'm new to this video world too but if you get the sound tracks onto your HD (I use AVRack) as a WAV then try DEPOPPER Version 2. It's Freeware and works rather well. Just get VERY aggressive with the Noise Suppression settings at first and then back down.
Again, it's freeware and easily found but if you like it then be sure to send in the suggested donation of $18.

You could also record them from the line in, into www.goldwave.com (Also get MP3 plug-in) then if there is anything wrong, fix it with the many filters before saving to WAV or MP3

Is there a way where I can connect the VHS video tape recorder audio out to my notebook computer in order to record the audio soundtrack, music & songs from the VHS video tape to my notebook computer?
I was wondering can I record the audio from the VHS tape by connection cables from VHS video recorder to my computer like recording vcr to vcr by audio & video cables? -
Gold Wave has MP3 plug-ins on the download page.
If you want to record the tracks from a CD, you can use gold wave to "Rip them" instead of recording them.
Tools > Cd audio extraction
If you wish to record from your notebook you need to use the socket on your sound card marked "line in"
Notebook PC
Sound out > Line In
VHS PC
Audio out (Scart or phoneo) > Line In
