What software are you using to burn.
you should be able to put it on a disc just select overburn disc in your software if it says its too big.

A 699 MB avi will fit, and you can usually go a few MB above with overburn. If it is (S)VCD mpeg, then ~790MB will fit. 8) The length of the movie is not a factor for avi or SVCD. For VCD ~ 80 minutes corresponds to 790MB.

  5. Hi again.. One more thing.. With the VCD-guide with Nero, that I found here and which is good. It says that i have to add mpges to the disc, not avi. But, can I add avi too? Wonīt there be a problem?.....
I hope that you get my question....

If you start with a VCD-compliant mpeg, you can burn to VCD with Nero. If you try the same process with an avi, Nero will attempt to encode it first before burning to VCD. Not only will this be a lengthy process, but the result will be inferior to using TMPG.

In order to burn a vcd you must have a compliant mpeg1 movie file.
an avi will not work for vcd. you must convert the avi to mpeg1 format and then burn the mpeg to disc using vcd in nero
