hello can anyone help on telling me how to turn on DMA for the DVD rom?
I just bought a toshiba 16X and its ripping at only 1x using "Smartripper" and I read in some other forum that by turn on DMA it should speed up!!!
but if anyone knows something else please help... I tried looking for it all over the place...

Hi,
Hope this is right,
Right click on your MY COMPUTER ICON on your desktop, Choose DEVICE MANAGER then choose CDROM(either double click on it or hit the + at the side), Double Click on your TOSHIBA and the choose SETTINGS, you should see the DMA setting there if it's not TICKED the tick it HIT OK and then it should ask you to restart your pc, do so.
