  1. Mine has played everything I throw at it, from mp3,vcd,xvcd,svcd, any cdr,HP and maxell cdrw, even audio on a playstation game(stuck it in by accident)
the only problem i have seen is some vcds(not all) the audio will be out of sync when played in the APEX but when played in pc, it plays fine.
Anyone have any ideas why, and how to fix it?

Tell us what you're burning and capturing with, and what your setting are for capturing if your files are noncompliant. I don't know if the AD1500 that I tested at Circuit City was a defect or not but it could not handle a XVCD that I put in it while the AD500w seems to play it fine.

  3. Im just Downloading vcd screeners and telesyncs from the net.
They are already in BIN/CUE format and I burn to cd.
    these are all VCDs
ALL play perfect from the burned cd when played in PC
Most play perfect from burned cd when played in APEX
Some have audio sync probs when plyed in APEX(but still played fine in the PC)

See what happens if you use the rom on computer on your Apex(if your able to). I am not sure whether the 1500 is capable of doing this or not.

  6. Well the cdrom in my pc is actually my burner
so if I COULD replace the rom in my ad1500, I would have to swap it with a dvdrom right, or I wouldnt be able to watch regular dvds, only the vcds
I just want to solve the problem with these few vcds
    never happens with the svcds

DVDROMs are cheap. You can get a Hi-Val for under $40.
