    I've been authoring Vcd's for a while now ... I want to author my 1st SVCD ... no problem with the DivX 2 the mpeg2 ... except that when i load it into nero (I get the non-compliant error message) anybody got an idea, what am i doing incorrectly?

    The SVCD standard has a lot more varibles than the VCD standard...So you may be within the standard and Nero thinks you don't fit its SVCD standard.....
    My advice (which with $1.20, may get you a coke) if you can play the mpg video you want to put on the SVCD (checking that its not corupted in any way) then uncheck the create standard compliant cd box on the first tab after you select SVCD in Nero and burn like normal.

    That waqs it ... I wasn't choosing SVCD in Nero (i'm always scared to get away from the wizard) ...
