answer most urgent xms 750

I have a xms750 and till now no problem
but just latly some of the DVD originals will not pay .
the make a noise in the drive and show no disc.

what can i do about it. its out of warrantee.

is there any know adjustments .

I have taken the cover off and lightly soft cloft the lazer lense in case it had dust.

I'm not an expert on the 750.
You could try taking it back to strathfield (where I presume you
bought it) but if the drive mechanism is going (and it sounds like it)
it needs to be replaced. When you opened the unit up did it
have an IDE cable interface with the DVD mechanism? If so you
might be able to drop in a cheap samsung DVD rom drive or similar.

You could try re-greasing the guiding rod that the laser uses to
track back and forth (not oil but silicon based electronic grease)
as this also could be your problem.
