Sorry to ask such a question but I've read several guides such as the good ones on Doom9 for IFOEdit and one thing I want to know is if I have to re-encode the MPEG2 files back to VOB somehow. The guide makes no mention of this, just to re-incorporate the video stream into the video file after re-encoding, Will this take care of everything?. The one I'm referring to is how to shrink the DVD to fit on one DVDR so I want to make sure I get it right.

You have to use an authoring program to convert your files back to VOB. I don't know of any out there that will do this, that are Freeware. Any authoring program for DVD will handle it, assuming your MPEG is DVD compliant.
