Hi. I've just ripped a DVD with one program stream despite being two different movies. Each movie is subtitled in both English and Chinese.
Here's what i've done. I ripped with Smartripper. I only ripped the VOBs for the first movie (the one that I want). The DVD is arranged in an odd way. There are two movies but the DVD appears as 10 continuous chapters throughout the two movies. I just ripped chapters 1-5 for the first movie.
The Rip finished successfully. So far so good.
I'm using Gknot and after setting up bitrates and filesize for the movie I am at the subtitles part. It uses Vobsub to rip the Subtitles. It failed at first because I only ripped the first five chapters of the DVD which in reality is the entire first movie. After pressing the "Cross my fingers" button It ripped and indexed the Subtitles correctly from the *.ifo file. Whew. Still good.
What I'd like to do now before I create the Divx AVI is to edit the ripped subtitles. (I don't care for some of the subs in it). What tools and FAQ's can I use to do this?
Thanks for taking an interest.
