  1. Can some advise me how to mute sound from a clip (within a .mpg). I want to add music only to that particular scene. Everytime I mute out the sound it does it to the whole .mpg. I just want to do scene I select.

    Thanks

You can demultiplex the mpeg file. Load the audio files into Gold Wave. Select the audio you wish to silence and lower its volume. Mix in the audio you want in its place. Save the file. Load the original video and the new audio into TMPGEnc. Voila!
    Hello.

  3. Thanks for the tip, but I mean't within Pinnacle Studio. I've just spent 2 days putting together a film that I don't fancy doing again. There is apparantly a method of doing this, but the in-built help of PS8 is not very good at explaining.

    Thx

  4. Hi.. I just read your prob.. Have you figured out how??

Everytime I mute out the sound it does it to the whole .mpg
I encountered the same prob too but managed to figured out 2 methods:
    1) Lower down the volume (the blue line in the middle of sound timeline)
    2) Delete the sound

For the 1st method, click on the blue line until * (blue dot) appear... and you can drag the line to the bottom.... then you can drag the volume up again after the scene....

For the 2nd method, lock the video timeline first... then click at the sound clip that you want to remove... & press "delete"... this will delete the sound.. if you dont lock the video timeline, it will delete both the video & audio...

    Good Luck!!

Does anybody knows other method to mute the sound (for a particular clip) other than the above???
