  1. Hi,
    I seem to have a problem playing back ripped Vobs. I've used both Smartripper and DVD-Decrypter so I don't think its a ripping problem. When I playback the Vobs using WinDVD the widescreen picture is squashed, it's still widescreen but not as wide as it should be. If I playback with PowerDVD 4 the aspect is correct but sometimes choppy, powerdvd also doesn't seem to want to play audio if I ripped the 6ch stream, where WinDVD plays the audio fine.
    Any ideas or advice is welcome.
    Paul.

  2. Hey Paul... seems like we're in the same boat (sorta)

    My ripped .vob files play in WinDVD for the first 4 minutes perfectly
    then the video goes to BLACK. I also use SmartRipper.

    Check out my full-description on my problem under post;
    "4min into playing a vob file then black"

    I'll watch your post for solutions, as you should watch mine.

    Jim

  3. This problem is not an issue for me anymore. DVDidle has solved it, I no longer need to rip the DVD first.
