  1. When opening an IFO file, I recieve this error message

After clicking ok, I get this one

I've only been experimenting with DVD's and this software for a few days.

    Am I doing something wrong?

    thanks,

  2. Hello, I am not expert but the first message appears when you donīt play first the movie with the DVD software that you have installed. I had once this message and is what I did.

I also have the second message sometimes, once I eliminate changing the output frame rate in the input settings screen to another (from 29.97 NTSC to 23.976 NTSC) but then when I was to burn the MPEG file with Nero this shows an error, so when i have the message on DVDX just click OKAY, but always keeping my input settings for frame rate output on 29.97 NTSC.

    Hope helps you.

  5. Hi everyone,
I'm using Divx also and have encountered the same error messages, plus another message that pops up when trying to open the video source(dv2 I think)

Where can I get an earlier version of Divx to see if there's a workaround?

Anyone have any ideas as to why it won't open the video source? I've tried using the wizard that comes up first and I've tried it after closing the wizard down.

    Much thanks for any help

  6. The first message appears when you open the IFO from harddisk (after having it ripped already) instead of from DVDdisk

That's not true... I get that every time I open an IFO.. does'nt matter if the IFO is ripped or directly from the DVD-ROM. I also get an error message about that MPEG2Dec can't initiate the mpeg-2 codec... I have no idea what to do
    Thanx/

Do not worry about it - ALL DVDx give the same error.

You r trying to convert NTSC film - it is telling you pulldown will be applied.

All it's saying is it will convert to 29.97 fps NTSC which is necessary for NTSC vcd anyway!

I would advise using tmpenc via the videoserver option as the inbuilt vcd in dvdx is crap.

the resultant file can be loaded into tmpenc but leave all progs running.
