    I have a SVCD mpg file thath is about 840MB and I would like to put it on a 90 min CD-R. I know that you can put about 890MB of a SVCD mpg file on a 90 min CD-R. Can I burn such SVCD in Nero and will it work in my Philips DVD 722 standalone DVD player?

    If the DVD player you have will play 90/99 minute CD-R's, it will play your SVCD.
