Anybody knows of some program that would allow me to do distributed computing in my lan? Even with my new 2.1Ghz, encoding can be a pain in the @ss!
I was thinking of some sort of seti@home client but that would let you decide of the task it computes.

yeh install linux and use clustering. lots of guides out around for ditributing the load over many computers.
win2k advanced server allows clustering as well, not sure how it will go for your purpose.
