Pan. DMR-HS2 Ship date now 9/30?

I was originally told that my Panasonic DMR-HS2 DVD recorder would ship today. When I called PCMall to check on my order, they told me that the new ship date is 9/30.

Are all dealers delaying shipment? Has anyone got their deck yet?

I could cancel my order with PCMall and order it from ecost.com ($799 vs. $747). However, I'm at the top of the list at PCMall. I don't know what the demand will be for this deck and if it will be readily available.

Anybody else with any info?

I just found out it's in stock at my local best buy but it's at full retail price ($999.99)

I was told the same thing last week... e-cost.com said it would ship today. I called today to check it out and they also said the 30th. Oh well I guess... I got mine on order, so whats another couple of weeks?
