I have tried all kind of things to get media on to DVD but to no avail.
I have used VideoPack and then Ulead MovFactory and Nero. Always the same time on VCR twelveO'clock twelveO'clock twelveO'clock.
No really...OK . I used TMPGenc to conv avi to MPEG-2.
MPEG-2 OK
Used VideoPack to author and burn DVD-RW = CRAP Choppy out of sync.
Take OK Mpeg-2 and author and burn with (Burn Update Applied) Ulead MovFac to DVD-RW
More choppy unsync crap
Ok..Now Author with Ulead to create TS_Video
Play TS_Vid with WinDVD off of HDD = Sweet, looks great.I am psyked!![]()
Burn TS_Vid to DVD-RW with Nero 5582= Instant crap again
OK.. maybe it's the RW media.
I take a big $10 gulp and burn it to DVD-R
Picture is smooth but again with the audio, total loss, absolute crap![]()
The TS_vid plays perfectly off the Hard drive so I guess it's the burn process???
I am downing the Nero 5599 and will try again on RW.
Oh yeah, I am using a Pioneer A04 (1.20 Firm) on a twin 1.7Ghz P4 win2K
Advice?![]()

Do the same disks play smoothly on your PC (in a software DVD player)?
As Churchill famously predicted when Chamberlain returned from Munich proclaiming peace in his time: "You were given the choice between war and dishonor. You chose dishonor, and you will have war." -
I haven't gone to a set top DVD player yet.
So, no they don't play smooth on PC.
TS_Vid only plays smooth off the hard drive, before the burn.
Thanks for the reply -
When you burn it with Nero, do you Write and Verify? Is the Verify good?
Can you burn data files to the A03 and access them?
I have a Pioneer A04 and use MovieFactory all the time. -
I have not tried the Verify. I'll check that out.
I have sucessfully burned data to dvd and been able to use it.
Should I be using the Disk lock tabs in the DVD-R tray when burning?
I was just trying out DVDit and HOLY shiz!!
I told it to create a dvd out of one 600Mb mpeg2 and it said it wouldn't fit on the 4G DVD!?!? Something aint jive'
I wish this could be as easy as vcd's,
"Any thing worth having..." right!! -
UPDATE!!
I am feeling pretty dumb.
I turns out it wasn't a burn problem at all, it was a playback problem.
I took my burned dvd to a different machine and it played fine.
So i reinstalled the snd driver and reinstalled WinDVD and BLAM
Works like a champ.
I was fooled cause WinDVD played fine off the HDD.
I am pretty sure the software player that came off of "Baseketball" DVD caused all the trouble. I thinhk it was the Interactual player
Live and learn
THanks for your help bros.
