Hi !
What is the easiest way to add permanent subtitles. I´m asking since there are quite a few guides around.
Do I first encode the div x file(TMPGenc) or do I add subtitles directly to the divx file?
I´d be grateful for an answer.

The easiest way is to add your subtitles in Virtual Dub, while frameserving to TMPGEnc.

You must select all files when the Open requester comes up when you select your video input.

Disable your DirectDraw filters in the environment settings of TMPGENc (untick) - TMPG should then be able to open the vdr file (at least mine does).
