  1. Everything was great 2 weeks ago, then all of a sudden TMP wouldnt except SVCD's. Stupidly, thinking I had a codec problem I installed the Ligos codecs. That allowed me to import into TMP, but the audio and video were out of synch in Media Player. I have tried everything to correct it including: Installing Nimo, Nimo Lite, Direct X 8.1, reinstalling WMP, reinstalling Power DVD,all the Divx codecs since 3.11 but no luck. Finally, some success with the Morgan Stream Switcher as the audio codec and Bicubic Resizer as video. Audio/video are in synch plus TMP will accept it, the only thing is there is this little white cube in the upper right corner. looks like its from the codec. how can I get that off? Do I need to install different codecs? Step by step instructions please! thanks!

what are you trying to do exactly? There is an MPEG2 codec...the other problem may be that TMPG only gives a 30 day free trial for doing MPEG2 (SVCD) work.
what are you askin' me for...
    I'm an idiot!

  3. i have a svcd that im encoding to burn to dvd. im using tmp 2.54a. at first i could not get the svcd to load at all into tmp(unsupported error message). now that i am using the elecard decoder it loads correctly and plays correctly in wmp, but their stupid logo is in the top corner of the encoding. someone else mentioned that registering the elecard player will remove the logo. also, i see that with the latest version of tmp 2.58 it has better mpeg2 support and that it uses Power DVD codecs. should I upgrade to that since everything plays fine for me in power DVD.

  4. i have seen this white little cube in the corner a few months ago
on my system, but i think it was on the movie when i captured with
powerVCR and it disappear after some more codecs installation.
but you dont say where and how you get this cube..
    be more specific..

  5. im almost 99% certain it came after installing the Elecard decoder. Elecard is the only one that plays correctly and TMP will accept for me. Ligos is accepted by TMP but the playback is totally out of synch.

  6. well now i remember i had elecard mpeg2 codec when i had the same
    cube.
its more than a month that i unistall this codec and the cube gone is well.
elecard codec is needed for TMPGEnc v.2.56.39.141
but is not needed for version 2.57.41.146
so use this version which works fine for me with nimo codec.

as i remember now elecard gave me a problem with premiere 6 too.

  7. SO THE NEW VERSION OF TMP 2.58 WITH NIMO SHOULD CLEAR UP MY PROBLEM?
