    I havent started any ripping yet but i was wondering roughly how long would it take to rip a dvd on my current system?

    I have a duron 800, 384mb sdram, 40gb maxtor 7200 drive and a 16x toshiba dvd drive

    if you just want to rip the files to your harddrive,it will take 30-40 mins tops using smartripper.if you then want to convert tovcd/svcd it will take a few hours to shrink the vob files down to 700mb
