I downloaded "The Matrix Reloaded" movie trailer unto my harddrive.
I want to burn it unto my dvd, I'm getting different error messages
all the time. Is there a way to do this, yes or no? Thank you.

If you want just YES or NO, I would say YES
But if you want more details, you should give more details also, such as what type of file, What format you want to burn. What error msgs did you get? It might need some job and reading to do what you want, though. -
Thank you ya_jai for your response. I've checked the faqs but can't seem to find what I'm looking for. Maybe I'm just overlooking it.
The error that I'm receiving says "dvderr.-47010".
What type of file or format? I don't know about any of that.
I'm very new at this, all I know is that I want the trailer unto a dvd so I can play it on my stand alone dvd player. Any help will be greatly appreciated. -
Okay let's start from the beginning, then. What type of file that you downloaded from internet. There are so many movie file types out there such as, avi (Divx), mpeg1 (VCD), mpeg2(SVCD), mov, asf, etc.. Now only 2 types as far as I know that you can burn and play on your dvd player are mpeg1 and mpeg2. So now when you know the concept, next step would be your job to read and find all the tools needed if you don't have them.
First you have to know what type do you want VCD or SVCD ( you can read about these two type in the first section VCD, SVCd). And you have to check if your dvd player can handle the type you want (you can check complatible at DVD Players section). If I were you I would go with VCD first becuz it's the most complatible with all DVD player.
Second you have to check your d/l file, if it's not mpg you have to convert to mpg. You can read a guide how to convert any file type to mpg at Convert section on the left. Choose the guide that suit for you such as convert from avi, convert from asf, etc.
Now get all the tools needed which you can find under Tool section after you read the convert guide and know what tools to use. In this one I would suggest you use TMPGEnc free version becuz it's a newbie friendly. you might need addition tools such as Vitual Dub and/or Nimo code pack in order to get the job done.
All the guides always include how to author or burn mpeg file to be able to play in dvd player which is required specific burnning software such as NERO, EZ 5.0, VCDImager + image burning software. I'd suggest you go with NERO for the sake of easiness. If you can't find how to burn look at Author section on the left.
Now time to sit back and enjoy your movie 8) -
ya_jai, thanks once again for your reply. After doing everything you said and checking where you told me to, I finally got it done. I finally burnt the trailer unto dvd. It certainly took me quiet a bit of time. I had to run to this and that web site to get everything I needed, but it was worth it.
Thanks for your help, norsky
