I'm having a real problem smoothing motion on Beverly Hills Cop III. It doesn't seem to matter if I capture the VHS movie with digital capture, or if I use my Pinnacle Analog card. The video images look great after transcoding with cce, and muxing with tmpgenc. The problem is that any fast motion results in very jerky playback on a set top player.
I've tried raising the cbr to 6000kbs (from 5000kbs), and lowering the filters from 6 to 4.
Right now I'm cutting screen res to 352x480 at 6000kbps to see what difference I can find.
I'm sure it's not media related because every other movie on this media has been great so far.
Please point me in the right direction...

Problem fixed. Man, I've been trying to figure this out for days. I installed a newer version of CCE and the default settings were different. I couldn't remember the old settings and I guess that was the problem...
Thanks to pointing to that thread EnemyWithin. Changing field order did the trick perfectly...
