This isn't strictly speaking a total problem, but more of a general question.
After following the standard AVI to TmpGenc Mpeg1VCD compatible file, I have then burnt several VCD's using Nero 5.5.8.2. Although the PAL VCD's are working okay, I've noticed that when I play the VCD's in my Toshiba SD2500 DVD player the VCD will always freeze at the "title" screen I created in Nero.
In order to actually play the tracks I have to select 1 or ,2,3 etc. on the remote control. Once I'm into those tracks I can foward, rewind, skip as per normal, but never on the title screen.
However when I play the VCD's on WinDVD for testing, all I have to do is just select "Play",on the title screen & then starts the first track. I usually leave the title screen on an "infinite" pause, where as I usually leave 5 secs gap between the tracks.
I know I can change this, but I'm curious why WinDVD can launch into the main VCD tracks where as I have to select the individual track on the DVD player, any thoughts?
