I have been converting movies using TMPGEnc and splitting audio when needed using Virtualdub. When I play the converted movies on my software DVD player on the PC, the movies are fine. Great Video and great Audio (with no out of sync problems). I have been making VCD's, but more recently SVCD's for improved quality. I am very happy with the results, until I burn them onto CD using Nero (the latest version as of today). Also, every time I split the Vid from the Audio using Virtual dub, then recombine the wav with the mpg in TMPGEnc, I seem to get out of sync sound in the movies after I burn them.
I use 2X 80 disks (I have a lot of them), and sometimes reduce the bitrate so that they will fit on one disc. Everything seems to burn ok, without any error messages, but when I play the movies on my DVD player, I get the choppy sound. It cuts at random for a second or two throughout the movie. The Video seems ok however. By the way, I burn them at 2X.
I am really desperate to burn my first good film without any problems, but so far, I haven't managed it yet.![]()
Anyone have any ideas? I have searched these forums extensively, without much luck, only that maybe I should burn at 1X, but I would like to know if there is anything else that I can do, or if I'm doing something wrong.
Thanks in advance.
