  1. I converted an AVI file to VCD with Nero 5.5.9.0 & the video is perfect EXCEPT for the fact that it's upside-down!!!
I installed the Nimo Codec(s) before I encoded that file.
I had tried making the same VCD prevously & the audio was there, but no video (just a blank screen). The original .AVI file was encoded in MPEG4 V3 if that makes a difference.

The DVD Player is a Sony DVP-NC615.

    Anyone have any ideas???

  3. Why dont you give TMPGenc a try. Use TMPGenc to encode your avi to any format you want first and then burn with NERO. As others say NERO encoder is suck big time so that might be the cause.

Don’t let Nero convert anything, its rubbish. Use TMPGEnc, making sure that your DirectShow priority's are set at the top with a value of 4.

The Nimo codec pack gives no problems, however make sure you did not install others on top like SMR or Windows Media Player.

Also make sure you only install the things you needed with Nimo
