  1. I have converted the .vob files and it extracted the soundfree .mpg file & the separate .ac3 files for audio. Now I need help merging them. The Sefy's guide showed an older TMPGEnc program & the new one didn't have the mp3 option. Please help

  2. Did you need help with the *.ac3 or *.mp3?

SpruceUp does a great job with *.ac3

  3. Thanks for replying.
The .mpg looks great, but I have the .ac3 files on the computer & need to convert them (I suppose) to the .mp3 format so they can be merged.
    Thanks'

Did you select File-->MPEG Tools...-->Simple Multiplex? My version shows your format.
    Hello.

  5. I'm sorry, I extracted the mpg file using DVD2AVI ver 1.77.3 & it doesn't have the same info as SEFY shows. I didn't have the option for .mp3 for audio & it converted the audio to .ac3.
    Anyone know?

If you selected the option in my previous post, it will allow you to load .ac3 format files in TMPGEnc.

  7. Hey thanks
but i get a message that says "Current System Stream format cannot include Dolby AC-3 Stream."
I chose all 3 ac3 files to see if it made any difference. None, I got the same message. I chose my .mpg file as the video source & the difference .ac3 files for audio but got this message.
    Any more help?

If having a ac3 audio is not all that important, why not convert it with Gold Wave to a .wav file?
    Hello.

  9. I installed goldwave & it didn't have the option for ac3 format. Any suggestions.
    Thanks guys for your help.

  10. In dvd2avi check decode instead of demux under audio->dolby digital and it will decode the ac3 stream into a rather large wave file. then use besweet or toolame to convert the wave into an mp2.
