Newbie needs help please

Hi,

Firstly apologies if this is the wrong forum, was not sure which one to post to.

I am trying to burn a cd using nero - I am using nero and have successfully burned one movie, but nero keeps freezing when trying to burn another. The only difference I can see is that the one that worked had "dvd-ripped" in the title and properties show it as a mpeg/video/audio stream, the other movies that I am having problems with show properties as "microsoft video", I have tried reinstalling nero, using different makes of blank cd's and tried several different downloaed movies.

Any help would be appreciated.

I am having the same issues. I guess when you get movies like we do you never know if part 1 is the same as part2 ( as far as capture format whatever) I toss a lot of discs so now I am using my cdrw's to tryout.

Thanks, just installed VCD Easy to see if that works but again only allows me to burn the cd I have already done (they were mpg1 files) does not recognise the other formats, looks like I will have to get the dvd ripped ones only
